SMC Guidelines

Page history last edited by JulianTait 14 years, 7 months ago

As we tumble, toddler like towards our 1st Birthday, which will be in November btw and are regularly getting 100+ people attending. We thought it would be a good idea to post some SMC guidelines so that everyone knows how it all works and can contribute. (This is a work in progress so if people have any additions put them below.)

SESSIONS

Anyone can do a session. If you have something that you want to share with the wider SMC community the SMC is the place to do it. The sessions can be formal presentations, but we try and encourage people to tap into the knowledge of the community and treat the sessions as conversations around the topic that you want to lead.

Sessions are not about selling products or services, although many of us are trying out and developing new ideas that might be part of our practice. The bringing of ideas to the SMC is what it's all about especially if you feel that the wider community can input into the ideas process.

No consecutive sessions. To encourage a greater diversity of speakers we discourage back to back sessions. If you have more than one session you want to present we ask that you leave a month before the next session.
