This month's Social Media Cafe is a bit of a hybrid as it is brought to you in partnership with FutureEverything EVNTS and North West Vision and Media.

It still contains the same Social Media Cafe goodness that we all know and love, with the usual Unconference Barcamp format sessions, but as it's coinciding with the FutureEverything 2010 EVNTS Launch there will be a talk by Hugh Garry, Producer for Radio 1 and 1extra. From club DJ to driving Digital Creativity for Radio 1, in 2008 Hugh produced 'Shoot the Summer', a music feature film shot entirely on mobile phones, giving them to artists and audience alike, telling them to film whatever they want.

After Hugh's talk there will be two lots of three open sessions each lasting about 40 minutes long; if you want to run a session you don't have to use up the full 40, but if a healthy discussion gets going 40 probably wont be long enough, so there is space to over run.

PARTICIPATION

The unConference format is informal, feel free to contribute and comment. Although the sessions appear to be quite short there is opportunity to carry on the discussions through the break and after. Generally the sessions are run as a conversation and participants are encouraged to pitch in where appropriate. You don't need to put your name down for a particular session in advance just come along and choose on the night.

We encourage people to respond to the sessions through Twitter, this will feedback into how the Cafe runs and promote future debate.
